The Cold-SnapBeing a successful ice angler means being mobile. This doesn't necessarily mean drag your portable fish house from spot to spot. I'm referring to walking from spot to spot with some ice rods and Vexilar flasher to work holes that I already have drilled. This is a wackem and stackem approach.
Clothing will be the most important tool during this process. I rely on the Vexilar Cold-Snap suit for comfort, warmth and most of all dryness. 90% of my ice fishing is on my knees and keeping my knees dry. Keeping low keeps me focused on my flasher and my rod. The shorter the length of the line from the rop tip to the water the better. The Cold-Snap suit allows me to fish in all elements without the hassle of moving a portable house from hole to hole.
