Greg "The Prowler" Wilczynski has been a rod builder and designer for over 30 years. Recently, he designed a new generation of ice fishing rods for the St.Croix Rods Company. The name of this line is "Legend Ice Rods".

Greg has participated in about 200 fly and ice fishing tournaments in Europe and USA, winning quite a few of them. He's won medals in Poland and Warsaw ice fishing championships and was an Illinois champion and NWMA (Northwest Match Anglers) Ice Angler of the year.

Currently he continues teaching modern European ice fishing techniques through giving seminars in different fishing clubs, major retail stores, such as Cabelas, Gander Mountain, Bass Pro Shops and outdoor fishing shows.           Greg is also involved with radio and TV shows (including Babe Winkelman productions) and hosts a Polish fishing-hunting radio show in Chicago. The radio show is tied in with an outdoor magazine "Zew Natury", that he also work for as an editor of their fishing section. In addition, Greg works with fishing magazines including, "In Fisherman", "North American Fisherman", "Bass Masters" etc.

When ice fishing Greg believes in using the finest electronics made. That's why he uses Vexilar flashers. He feels they're the best and most advanced in ice fishing tools along with his St. Croix ice rods. Greg has used the FL-18 for a few years, and has been very successful with it (after testing all other products on the market). Last season, for the first time, he used the FL-20 and he was very pleased with the new flat screen technology of flashers by Vexilar.

Greg Wilczynski is a member of the US National Ice Fishing Team and will travel to Russia for the 2008 World Championships in Ice Fishing.
