The FL-20 has a sleek profile with a bigger display, and two auto zoom ranges that split the display screen to let you focus in on just the bottom 6 or 12 feet of the water column. FL-20 Smallmouth
In late Summer and into late fall giant Great Lakes smallmouth make deep off shore structure there home often little irregularities on the bottom are the key. My eyes are always keyed onto the FL-20 on the bow of the boat – with the flat screen and bright LEDs I’m able to watch the screen thru all weather conditions. I look for baitfish suspended often times the smallies are not far behind – in many instances you will see a large mark close to or right on the bottom by using the zoom feature – vertically fishing I drop my bait down similar to ice fishing and work that fish into biting. This style of fishing can be repeated for any species especially panfish!
