Chris Beeksma owns and operates Get Bit Guide Service out of his home in Delta, WI. Chris is a licensed as a U.S. Coast Guard Captain and a Wisconsin guide. He specializes in guiding for Chequamegon Bay smallmouths and also muskies on the inland lakes of northern Wisconsin. Though smallmouths are his passion, he enjoys guiding clients on the numerous Lake Superior tributaries in spring and fall for lake run trout and salmon.

Chris acknowledges he has met many great people during his 19 years of guiding. He really enjoys providing information to customers about the specific equipment they are using and the proper ways to use them. His main objective when guiding is to meet his customer's expectations and hear them say they have learned something new on each outing. Fishing is fun but catching fish surely makes it more enjoyable. He feels extremely fortunate being able to guide on Chequamegon Bay on Lake Superior, one of the premier bodies of water in our country for smallmouth bass.

Chris has been featured in many outdoor fishing newspapers, magazines and television shows. These include In-Fishermen, Bassmasters, and Outdoor life magazines. Newspapers include Wisconsin Outdoor news and many other local Wisconsin newspapers. He has enjoyed filming television shows with both Butch Furtman (Sportsman's Journal) and Dave Carlson. Chris is available to present seminars and has spoken in the past to groups in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Michigan
